ALBERTA FLORENCE by Giulia Mondolfi

GIULIA ALBERTA MONDOLFI

Alberta Florence is the fruit of the vision of Giulia Mondolfi, who was born in the city in 1986. Giulia took her degree in Architecture at the Polytechnic University in Milan, followed by a further specialization degree in Landscape Architecture at the University of Florence where she graduated with distinction in 2012.

She immediately started to collaborate with well known studios in Landscape Architecture. At the same time, she began, in 2013, to publish in professional journals such as the Rivista di Storia dell'Agricoltura dell'Accademia dei Georgofili, Paysage and Gardenia. In 2018 she started running a workshop on fashion and literature at Syracuse University.

It was back at the beginning of 2014 that Giulia began to dedicate part of her time to two of her great passions - fashion and fabric. In parallel with her work as a landscape architect, she designed the first prototypes for her atelier, Alberta Florence.

In May 2014, Giulia presented her first capsule collection in Florence and later in Rome.

Giulia's experience of life is the central impulse of her creativity. Each piece of clothing is inspired by the impressions and places of her childhood, her love of plants and flowers, her innate understanding of place, and her ability to absorb an atmosphere, her passion for art and architecture, and, it goes without saying, her constant play with fabric.
